Exterior TV suction mount issues?

Hi,

Newbie here, I realize this is an old thread but...I was thinking about a suction TV mount. Has anyone had any issue with exterior delaminating, separating or bubbling up from the suction?

The unit I have has a gelcoat fiberglass exterior with full body paint.

I have been using the GOstik suction cups since they first came out. I currently have one on the side of my Windjammer holding a 48” Samsung TV. I have always mounted it at the exact same spot on this camper for three years now with no problems to the fiberglass. I also have a GOstik suction cup mount for an oscillating fan which is terrific. No matter where I am sitting, I can have the fan blowing on me — just stick it to the side of the camper.

When I stick the suction cup to the wall for my TV, I always clean the fiberglass with Windex just to be extra-sure the surface is clean, then I wet the edges of the cup. I don’t worry about doing this with the fan.

For about five years, I have never had a TV or the fan fall off of the camper. I was a little paranoid at first, but now, I don’t even think twice about it.

You have nothing to worry about.
