Faulty Regulator
Went out to the Solera the other day - thought I'd check out all the systems. This is a unit we bought in January and have camped in twice. Last time I had checked, we had 4 lamps on the Propane check... this time, it showed empty, and a check of the gauge at the tank confirmed this. We had been overseas earlier in the month, and I wondered if someone had managed to sneak in the yard and transfer the propane to their own tanks (highly unlikely, I know, but nothing else figured, since all the appliances had been off and unused). I went to the propane store for a fill, and he immediately found the problem - a bad regulator! There are (2) regulators coming off the tank - one apparently to the genset and the other to the rest of the appliances. They replaced the bad regulator free of charge (charged only for the part). By the way, Blossman Gas did the repair - I highly recommend them if you have a Blossman dealer in your area!
I have the old regulator, and am wondering how to submit a claim, since the work was not done by a dealer. I hope this is not a prevailing problem. The repair guy stated the regulator that was bad was pretty low quality!
