There use to be gutters front and back. There were complaints that it poured water into the we tested every possible location we could. Problem is, depending on how heavy it was raining, there was no good spot. The best of ALL evils was to just try and divert the water to the rear. We looked at other mfg's and none of them used any gutter at all.

When it was a real heavy rain, it just flooded the gutter and poured where it wanted anyway....but we thought at least no one would call us stupid for locating the gutters where it would pour water onto the door panel. If it floods the area now, it should pour straight down the cap and not OUT into the door.
