Question Forester vs Solera vs Sunseeker

What is the difference, if any, between Forester, Solera, and Sunseeker? I see Forester 2401W, Solera 24W, and now I hear that Solera is going away to be replaced by Sunseeker. I haven't seen any Forester dealers in my area, only Solera and Sunseeker. Sunseekers were not on the Sprinter chassis. I have a Solera 24W on order. Will I be getting the Cadillac or the Chevy of the Forest River Sprinter based motor homes, or is the difference only in the decals?

From what I understand the Sunseeker and Solara are the same on MBS chassis. Foresters have a few upgrades over the others.
More like Chevy to Buick IMO.

The difference will be in decals. We are going away from the Solera name and calling it the "Sunseeker MBS." It is still the same chassis and Amenities.

To be honest, I haven't noticed the LED floor lights. But here is a picture of the ceiling lights. I'll look again next time when I take my W out of storage.

To clarify, the lists that are posted above are for the Sunseeker vs Forester Gas (and not completely accurate any more).

Here is the current list for Sunseeker MBS versus Forester MBS
• Skirt Paint (Standard)
• Cedar Lined Closets
• Solid Surface Galley
• Upgraded Backsplash
• Fantastic Fan w/ Rain and Temp Sensor
• Metal Wrapped Awning

My Forester 2501 floor lights are much like theater or stair lighting. They are small LED lights that are mounted on the wall, near the floor and they have a shield that causes the light to shine downward. We leave ours on all night, there is very little draw on the batteries and it is great to find my way to the bathroom. JH

Totally agree with micpib1 - the floor lights are great, especially the one in the bathroom and by the door/step.

One of the differences listed between the Sunseeker MBS and Forester MBS is Skirt Paint. I am guessing that it is paint on the lower part of the MH, but wouldn't be applicable if you get full body paint. Am I close or is it something else? Any pics?

Difference between MBS and View/Navion?

So, how much better or worst is the quality in the MBS then the Winnie View/Navion?

Is build quality the same or better?

Any videos showing how Forester builds a Sprinter based Class C?

I can only offer my humble opinion. I just had my first hands-on look at my pre-prepped W today as it is now at the dealer. I shopped the Winnies and liked a lot about them. I bought a Solera because I liked the floor plan and it was not available anywhere else. The quality, fit, and finish are comparable. And, I got a better price. If you browse the forums for the Views and the Soleras, you will find much of the same kind of stuff on both. I think it comes down to personal preferences. And, of course, the Views cost more. They do have some upgrades that the Solera does not, but I could not see the differences being worth the extra cost. Soleras generally have more outside storage. Views have larger propane tanks. Soleras have wooden cabinetry. Views have synthetic. You just have to look at both and decide which you like better, and if you decide you like the View better, you have to decide if you like it enough better to pay the difference.

I haven't found any videos on the construction of the Forest River Sprinter based Class C. Winnie does have a nice video of theirs. I did do a tour of the Forest River Class C factory. What I saw was solid construction and good quality parts and materials. I expect to be happy with my Solera.

I cross shopped Sunseeker 2400R with View. If it was up to me, I would have bought the View instead of Sunseeker despite substantial price difference. I don't remember the details but the View basically had better components. View also had some things Sunseeker did not have such as built in front and side window blinds. If I were to buy them separately, it would have cost me something like $600 ish. It is like buying Lincoln MKZ and Ford Fusion. They are basically same car with different trims. They will both get to you where you want to go. Is there a difference, absolutely. Does the difference justify the price difference. To me it was YES and to my wife NO. So we went with Sunseeker.
