We just spent the last 5 days on the road stopping every night to plug in at a campground. Fridge was set on Auto and it did it's job switching back in forth whether we were on the road or plugged in at night.

We just came back from a seven week jaunt. The propane was on all the time, and kept the refrigerator cold when we were not on shore power. We also used the stove and the water heater for washing dishes most every night. (took showers mostly in the bath house - only a few propane showers) A full tank of propane when we left, and 3/8 of a tank seven weeks later. The Solera seems to sip propane.

And by the way, it's relatively easy to add a 30 amp single pole breaker, and run a box near the Solera. The biggest expense is the wire. I highly recommend it for your home, if at all possible. I put one on the back of the carport from the breaker box there. I bet I spent less than $50. Well worth it.
