We love Bryce Canyon. Be sure to hike "Wall Street" to the bottom of the canyon. I would spend 2 days at Bryce and at least 1 day at Zion and a couple days at the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Also Ceder Breaks near Cedar City is really nice.

I just returned from a 5700 mile trip from KY to California and back. Because of the 75 and 80 speed limits in the Midwest, I had cruise set to 75 for a lot of the trip.

I averaged 11 to 12 mpg. I have the bed over the cab. Also I spent a lot of time in Yosemite / Rockies on steep grades. I also was heading into the wind on flat ground as well.
