Can't someone make a nice lightweight aluminum LP tank?
If the door was lowered, the step could be eliminated along with it's unbelievable weight.

I used my unit all summer long (6000 km, 3700 miles ) without the step and did not miss it. Oh and by the way, I have been on crutches since June due to some ankle surgery.

Someone makes a Dot approved spun fiberglass propane tank.
I will see if I can find the link for you.

Seems like there is a recall on the spun fiberglass tanks made by the Lite Cylinder Co, but here is another manufacturer of the newer composite tanks,

Composite LPG Cylinders - Hexagon Ragasco
