All good input. Thanks. Fortunately the cargo area has a low spot in it right behind the generator. I have it jacked up and got thru the liner with a hole saw. The hanger bracket was welded to a one inch steel channel cross member. I am thru that with a pilot hole but getting thru the hanger is harder steel.

Too hot to work in it anymore this afternoon.

Once I get it bolted up I can take it to my RV guy for a thorough inspection.

Later...

Checked mine and found it is welded at three points to the steel member. Both ends and the middle. Can you temporarily secure it, buy wire and have it welded at a shop. Looks cramped in there by the weld points so am at a loss on suggesting anything since your way ahead of what I'm seeing from a cursory examination.

MIne was welded in three places too. But they weren't very substantial welds. I took them for tack welds till something else more permanent was done,'

I installed two 7/16 th bolts to hold the aft bracket in place by coming in thru the depression in the cargo bay.

Forward bracket must be welded in place too, but its hard to see because of the mud flap and the foam. May need to get it on a hoist.

Here are pics of the finished job.
