Mine does not give you an auto choice. Only 4. Fan, cool, furnace and off. Also plus or minus to adjust temp.

Choose fan. Then hit + or - to set to auto. Then choose heat.

+ - sets fan speed and auto when fan is first selected.

Could you please go step by step to turn on the heat, without effecting the a/c system. I wasn't quit clear on the post.

What I do - (2012 Solera "S"):
1) Ensure 12 volts is turned "on" to RV (switch next to stairs).
2) Turn on propane (knob in propane compartment opened fully).
3) Confirm propane "on" by lighting a stove burner or two.
4) press button on thermostat to select "fan". Press + or - to select "auto".
5) press button on thermostat to select "heat". Press + or - to select desired temperature.

Thats all - if the furnace doesn't start, try setting the thermostat to a higher temp.

Select "fan" with lower control button
while in fan use + or - to change to auto or low.
Use bottom button again move down to "furnace" for heat
Use plus and minus for temp setting.
Furnace starts and in "Auto" overhead fan will not run.
