I'll take one. Best upgrade I made so far. Wife really notices difference.

This thread has become all but overwhelming with all the information that has been posted. We just returned from our first trip after installing the Hellwig on our unit. The results were noticeable in terms of handling and stability despite some significant side winds enroute. Wind still pushes the coach around but despite frequent gusts and heavy traffic there was very little tip or wobble. Just to confirm, our unit is a 2015 and the Hellwig 7254 fit perfectly. It is a one and a half inch bolt-on replacement for the factory one inch bar (post #253 shows the bar as it comes quite clearly) and DaveJordan's post #258 has the step by step installation process. I used Mikegjax's technique in post #259 of hanging the bar from the shackles first so I didn't have to use a block to move the exhaust out of the way -- just pushing it aside when inserting the bolt worked perfectly. The bulge mentioned is not easily noticed unless one places the bar on a flat surface beforehand (it helped me to mark an up arrow with a sharpie so I could keep the perspective). Post #284 mentions the M12 washers (I too got mine at Ace). If you take a bright marker and mark across the installed nuts you can visually check to make sure nothing has loosened over time. After all the helpful comments from the senior guys, the entire job was very simple even for a novice like me….. And yes, I'd like to have one of the Hellwig stickers when they're available. Our coach gets a lot of favorable comments from the folks we've met so far.

I forgot to mention that I bought our Hellwig with all its hardware from Mad Cheetah on E-Bay for the ridiculous price of $109 because the original box was damaged. Did I mention my nickname is 'Lucky'?

RE: Hellwig Emblem - Posts # 316 and 319

I've offered several narratives about the Hellwig as well as other rear suspension upgrades. If / when you get a supply of these I'd appreciate getting one. I'd even pay for it out-of-pocket if you could refer me to the source. It would nicely complement my other Sprinter upgrade emblem.

Man, I can't post anything on here without someone jumping to some crazy conclusions.

I'll see what I can do on the decal...I think they would be nice for resale (to set yours apart from other non-helwig units) and to spread the gospel so to speak.

I'm just trying to figure out how to handle this logistically. We won't want addresses on here, so maybe a direct email to send your address to and we can just drop it in an envelope.

The way we're going to handle this is through Private Messages. If you have a Hellwig Sway bar and would like a decal you'll need to private message "Me" NOT "bclemens." All I will need is your name and mailing address.

I see all the Private messages in my inbox. I will send the stickers out Monday because I'm on the road.
On a side note if anyone is near Thornburg, Virginia stop in and see me at Safford Rv! They are having a lot show I will be at Saturday and Sunday.

Took our 2014 Solera out today after installing the Hellwig yesterday. The install was fairly easy after overcoming the claustrophobia of being under the RV and unbolting things from a perfectly fine coach. Thanks to everyone who posted the step-by-step procedure and 717 Jock for summarizing everything.

The Hellwig does make a huge difference in the ride of the Solera. Great upgrade for the Solera.
