How and where to install an Inverter in Solera MH..

My advise is, iIf you have two Batteries under the steps you can install a 1000 W Inverter.
It is very useful for so many things, like making coffee, toast, TV/DVD etc., while traveling to your destination,
A 1000 W inverter cost between $ 50 -$75 and some come with about a 6 Ft 10 Gage ready cables. Or you can buy ready cables in any auto shop. It is important to have the shortest distance the Battery and the Inverter. In a 1000 W inverter you can plug in two appliances.
I found the best location on the left side (going up on the stair) all the to the edge between the fume detector and bottom of the extension table, to the edge of the counter. Drill a whole in the side of the counter, where the wire will connect to the inverter. Take out the bottom drawer and drill a whole through the floor. Next; remove the step over the battery. In the middle of battery compartment is an already a hole to take the cable out, way to the already drilled holes. Push the cables through both holes and hook it up to the inverter. Next is to hook the positive (RED) and negative (black) cable to the negative battery pole, following the positive to the positive battery pole. Make sure to seal the floor holes so no water comes in to the MH.

1000 watt inverter is pretty small ......
about 9 amps or so ?

Don't forget to fuse the inverter. Not doing that is VERY dangerous as the cables provide access to unlimited power (as much as the battery holds).

Plus a switch for on/off should be there. You don't want the inverter drain your battery while sitting in storage (and they have a pretty good standby consumption).
