Well, I was wrong, just looked - the generator is on the passenger side. Goes to show, I should have looked before posting. But, it was cold yesterday!

This thread made me curious about the 3 floor plans but I only see two - Solera Class C Motorhome Floorplans by Forest River - did they add one and drop one or is there one missing here?

Search below, there is a new model R. So, you have a model S, model M, and now a model R. S has the corner bed, M has the murphy bed, and the new R has a walk around bed that features a back slide out.

We have ordered the R. It should be here in another week or two.
I keep looking at the FR website and they still do not have the R in the brochure.
I do have the single sided single page that shows the floor plan and capacities and dimensions. That is the only collateral that I have seen that mentions the R.

24r
My wife & I bought the 24R at the Hershey Show in Sept. May have been one of the first or the 1st. one sold. We picked it up in Bath, NY, on Sept 21. Have put 2,300 miles on it and have taken it to Myrtle Beach, SC, Smokey Mts., Raystown Lake & Lancaster, PA. Averaged 14.2 mpg at 60 mph.. We have really enjoyed it and the only problems we encountered were leaky doors in the pass-through storage area & problem with the winterizing kit ( wouldn't pull antif. out of bottle). Problems have been resolved. Hope this posts this time. Thank you all for the info we have learned on this form.

Seats do not swivel but you can order parts to make them swivel from Sprinter.

Do you have a web site for sprinter and the parts for the swivel seats?

Compared to the 24MS and the 24S the 24R is:
4 inches longer
2 inches taller
2 gallon smaller grey tank
2 gallon smaller black tank
has more exterior storage. 47 more than the 24MS and 8 more than the 24S
A photo of the bedroom would be nice, like the one for the 24S in the 4 page brochure.

Great pictures, but, IMO, they need to be on page two of the Solera 24R brochure. Dealers need some collateral. A two page supplement of the 24R for the existing 4 page brochure of the 24MS/24S wold work fine and eliminate the cost of reworking the existing 4 page 24MS/24S brochure.
You don't need to sell me on the 24R. I'm just waiting for the delivery of mine. It is now one week late. If they had delivered it these past few days it would have been an outstanding leak test. I got 5 inches of rain in 36 hours. Maybe it is stalled in Reno waiting for Donner Pass to clear so they don't need to chain up.
Speaking of chaining up, that would be in interesting photo, A Solera following a snow plow at 9,000 feet.

We're getting there. We have to build them, take pictures and then the exhausting process of creating the brochures. It takes less time to build then units than to get pictures and text.
Hot off the press.

Now you have a complete brochure.
However, there is, I believe, an error. The brochure lists a bifold privacy door for the bedroom. The 24R that I looked at had a solid sliding wood door.
I think the brochure should brag a bit more about the volume of the 24R exterior storage. That was a big deal for our purchase. I hate storing the outdoor chairs, etc. inside, because I bang up the walls taking it out. And in an MH, unlike my current TT, I really don't want to store things like outdoor chairs in the bedroom or bathroom. For the TT I did not care.
Still waiting form delivery. Now 1.5 weeks late and no estimate available, which I find hard to believe. But that is a different topic.

This was the proof of the brochure, hasn't gone to full print yet. It is a wood door on the 24R.
As for storage, the 24R does get its own picture and text of the storage area. PM me your name and dealer I can see where it's at.
Just an FYI, we never give a specific delivery date to our dealers, just an estimated time frame. Then that depends on when the dealer actually get the order in, if there are any parts shortages and if there is paint involved. Remember, this is not a car that goes through a nice assembly line. It's a house that goes through an assembly line.

We took delivery of our 24R today.
First impressions of the 20 mile drive home:
1. it accelerates a little better than I had expected.
2. it felt quite a bit less top heavy in the turns than I had expected.
3. the ride was smoother than I expected. Smoother than my 3/4 ton Chevy and GMC trucks. Very comparable to the 1997 Dodge Dakota truck I used to have.
4. tracks very straight. Easy to stay centered in the lane. No steering wheel play.
5. the furnace works very well

I agree with your post
It was also quieter at freeway speeds than I expected
Are you putting in swivels for your seats?
If so please post where u get them and how comfortable the seats are to sit in once swiveled
They seem close to the floor
I'm still on the fence
My wife wants the rear stabilizing system instead

We drive ours round trip to Nola every weekend 300 miles. It does great - except in high winds. That gets a bit "touchy" but otherwise, it is a great riding vehicle.
