how to open sleeper sofa on 2015 Solera 24R?

I thought it was a simple matter of pulling up and out on the main seat, but it appears to be stuck half-open. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Can you give us a photo of your couch?

When posting, there should be a button below the posting window that says 'Manage Attachments' or at the top of the posting window to the right of the 'Fonts and Sizes' options there is a little thing that looks like a paper clip.

Once there, then follow the directions.

Can you push it back in and start over?

Looks similar to the couch that I removed from my 5'ver and it was just a matter of lifting the front of the couch up and pulling it out towards you.

sofa

That's what I thought too, but it feels like it's stuck halfway. We've never used it for a bed. Maybe the hinges, if that's the right word, are stuck due to years of disuse. maybe a shot of WD40 will help the sofa, or my back!

Hmmmmm.... do the arms come off? Some of these couches have removable arms that have to come off first.

Ours is not exactly like yours, but it requires lifting on the back and also on the seat and wiggling it a bit. Sometimes its really easy and sometimes not.

Make certain that there is not something stuck underneath or behind the seat.

Silicone spray couldn't hurt.

This looks like a jackknife sofa. If you haven't try lifting the front all the way up and towards the back. Then pull forward and down.
Let me know if I am off base on this one.

Finally walked in there with a can of WD40 and gave it a talking to, then pushed in a different place and pulled in another -- and that was the key. All good now. Thanks for everyone's help.

Remove the arms rests, pull the front towards you as you push the back down, it is well anchored to the floor. Mine was always difficult to lay flat. I have replaced mine with 2 recliners as we found it very uncomfortable to sit on.
