How to remove in dash Jensen

I found an earlier post that mentioned removing AC vents and screws but my 2015 chassis does not have screws holding vents in. Does anyone know the steps for removing the Jensen? Mine is a VX7020.

Did you pop the cover off of the front of the radio and heater control the screws are hidden under it?

I assume you are talking about the fake woodgrain piece. I will try it this weekend.

You can pick up plastic trim tools from any auto parts store or Harbor Freight; approx $13.00. The tools make it safe and easy to remove the panel without scratching. Start at the top edge and pry it off. Or you can use a screwdriver to pop it off. The small electrical harness at the bottom of the panel easily comes off if needed. There are screws under the panel that hold vent covers in place.

Hope this helps!

Read the previous posts .Info varies a bit. Removed fake woodgrain and several torx screws-popped off grey cover on passenger side that holds the vertical and horizontal vents in then took out horizontal vent. From what I read I don't need to remove vents and climate control now-their removal just makes it easier to install?? After removing torx the radio should slip out? How much comes with it-just the radio, the 1st trim plate(1/2" wide),the 2nd trim plate, the entire plastic assembly that the torx are holding in?

Should just be the radio. In some cases you need to have a special tool which has to be inserted along side the radio for it to be removed.

There are two screws at the very top that hold the dash tray in place. Removing these will allow the tray to be lifted so the radio mount will clear.
Two screws that are recessed below the radio hold the AC controls (there may be two more below the ac controls). It has been a while since I had mine out, but it seems like there was a total of 8 screws to remove the whole thing.
Here is a video that is similar, but watch out for the differences.

Thanks for the assistance. Got it out. One of those things that if I had to do it again it would only take minutes. While out looking at wires I also tried to look at the source for the vents. I noticed this weekend that the vertical vents next to the radio blew hot air from the heater and the ones on the dash above the radio only blow outside air.
