Jefa Tech repeater thru-roof install NO DRILLING!

I really lucked out installing a Jefa Tech repeater antenna on my Sunseekolera 2400R today. I bought a Winegard CE2000 entry plate for the add'l cable. It's the same size and screw pattern as the single plate I un-Dicor'ed:

When I got the plate off, I was presented with a nice big hole that was plenty big to thread the new omnidirectional cable thru (I did have to cut off the cable end connector that attaches to the router though), right alongside the antenna cable. That's the antenna cable pulled up out of the factory hole, with the union connector. Don't know why they'd have a cable connector there but I guess it's an assemble plant thing. I put my unused drill away.

Here's where I completely lucked out: The cut-end of the Jefa cable ended up right in that little space where all the other antenna stuff is. I pulled it thru the grommeted hole that the TV cables are snaked thru:

I can work a soldering iron pretty well and spliced the cutoff end back on to the cable I pulled thru the roof. The Jefa antenna comes with a mounting plate that I bent to fit around the Winegard mast. Those masts are very thin and I didn't think screwing the antenna plate to the mast would hold up. Two stainless worm clamps worked nicely. Here's a shot with the 1st one installed.

About a half-tube's worth of Dicor 501LSW and done.

While I was up on the roof, I also replaced the stock Winegard Sensar head with a Sensar Wingman and had my 2nd pleasant surprise of the day. I'm in NE NJ and tripled my channel count to just over 30 stations. Clean living' I guess. Hopefully the Jefa system will prove itself in a couple weeks when I put it to a campground test.

Approximately how tall is the antenna when the tv antenna is lowered? Very interested in your results.

Lowered, it's maybe 4-5" inches off the roof because it's parallel with the masts. Crank down the TV antenna, and the wifi antenna lies down flat too. Forget to lower the TV antenna, and I can kiss them both good-bye pretty quickly!
