Jensen Audio/Video Questions

Question #1: My in dash Jensen VX7020 drops the sound rather frequently. I've tested FM Radio, iPod (via USB Port) & Bluetooth. I've also tested for cellular interference by putting nearby cell phones on airplane mode. I suppose there's potentially a loose wire somewhere? I've also tested while in motion and at rest, doesn't seem to make a difference. Anything else I can test prior to pulling the unit out of the dash and checking it out?

Question #2: I have the Jensen JWM6A coach stereo (which I believe is a new feature) and the Jensen JE3212LEDW 32" flat screen. I cannot seem to figure out how to get the TV Audio to come through the JWM6A system (coach speakers & sub-woofer) rather than the built-in TV speakers. I even watched the youtube video Brian posted over in the Dynamax forum.

My VX7020 has poor reception even with the distance setting on. I am 45 miles from several stations and get half of them. In my cars I get all of them.

Also not impressed with TV reception from the new jack style antennas

#2 - Wish I had that new setup in my 2015 but I do use ARC at home.

Make sure ARC is turned on in the HDMI area of the TV settings and use the HDMI-ARC input on the JWM6A. Also make sure there is an HDMI cable between the two devices.

Good luck!

Thank you for your input. I have confirmed that the TV has two HDMI cables plugged into it, one is from the Jensen JWM6A and the other would be used if I added a satellite receiver. I have put the Jensen JWM6A in the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) mode and then played with all of the audio settings, CEC settings and everything else I can find on the TV but to no avail. Since this is a new feature I don't expect to get a lot of input from other forum users and I suppose I'm kind of hoping Josh or Brian might come across this post.

One more thing, on some TV's ARC is only on HDMI 1.

Is the JWM6A plugged into HDMI 1?

Also, does the TV turn on when you put in a DVD?

Hmm, the TV does turn on when a DVD is inserted. I will double check. Good point about the HDMI ports. I know there's two ports and I'll confirm which one on the TV is ARC and whether that's the one that's connected to the Jensen. Thanks!

Here is the bummer, our 12VDC model does not have ARC, only the AC powered unit does. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

JENSEN 32" LED AC TV

I thought that one in their promo video had a smaller bezel than ours.

How far is the TV from the JWM6A? Maybe you can run an optical cable?

Well Pod2Vibe you've been really helpful and I appreciate it. But it doesn't sound like you're actually the bearer of bad news. I swapped the HDMI cables on the back of the the TV and I suddenly received the audio from the TV signal through the JWM6A.

Here's a photo for reference...

That is great! Glad to hear.

A feature of our TV that they don't bother to mention.

Enjoy!

Btw, Love the new setup that the 2016's have with the JWM6A right next to the TV. Might need to figure out a way to add to my 2015. We all have to use the dash mounted Jensen for all of our audio needs.
