Jump start from coach battery

Since we don't have a boost switch it seems like it would be easy enough to jump start the vehicle by using a jumper cable between the battery connections behind the BCC under the rig.

the grounds are already in common so only need to jump the two studs that connect the batteries to the BCC.

Any reason this wouldn't work or might be a bad idea?

I think MacGyver would approve. As for bad idea??? I would only say that after the fact.

I need some help in understanding what the BCC is. This past weekend, I wanted to charge the engine battery because of the impending cold weather and found that it was in a compartment under the driver's floorboard and required removing a couple sets of screws...not very convenient. Thanks

BCC (Battery Control center) is the little box to the left side of the steeple (looking from the outside). Remove that cover and there is the BCC.
