Kitchen Sink Cover

Where can I get a new one? Mine split in the middle, no abuse - it just happened when I put a bottle of wine on it!
I know there are replacement covers from campingworld or I could make a wooden one myself but I really would like to get the same material again which fits to the rest of the countertop. Its a 2 month old 24r, the cover is kind of a fake granite look.....

I'm almost wondering if this would be considered a warranty issue. Have you talked to your dealer?

I thought about a warranty claim..but ...
Its more important to me to get a new one, cant be that expensive. As long as I get a replacement I am ok!

Yeah- to me the expected result of this warranty claim would be you receiving a new cover.

It's a warranty claim in the first 12 months. I have one on order due to a delamination issue. The counters in the 24s are coated plywood/ synthetic board. Not sure of the manufacturing method, but just treat them with loving care. Like anything in an RV, it's usually a weight issue, so go easy!
If you run into an issue with your dealer, have BClemens chime in for you, im sure he could point you in the right direction.

Those counters are probably E-stone. Lot's of mfg's in the RV industry started using it because people wanted something other than high pressure laminate. Has the look of granite/solid surface without the weight. But I have tested every countertop that we use and nothing holds up better than HPL. (heat & damage)

bclemens, Thank you very much for the info!
The question remains, where can I get a replacement - who is selling that stuff?
You think it is worth to submit a warranty claim? I have nothing to prove that I didn't do anything stupid, it just split in the middle more or less by itself
The split originated where the cutout for the faucet - finger hole is..

There was a thread in the mods section and the guy did exactly what you're looking for. He had some of that fake-granite looking stuff...try a search or just browse thru the mods section. It's been within the last couple three months.

He replaced the countertops too, but then it all matched. Very cool looking.

You would probably have to go through the dealer to get a replacement.

I'd ask the dealer on the warranty issue. If they have seen it before...maybe there's a chance. But no guaranties.

Called the dealer In DM-I did not even have to ask whether it could be covered under warranty - without even asking was told immediately from the Lady answering the phone "...that is not a warranty claim...
Well, did not expect different. I just hope she can order a replacement, did not hear back...

My personal preference is the black plastic cutting board sink cover that we use on the other models. It's custom fit for the sink...but since the Solera is an under-mount sink I'm not sure it would work. Blends pretty well into the design (since appliances are black). Doesn't show stains and is pretty much bullet proof. Of course also doubles as a cutting board.
