Magnadyne Serial Number?

The Magnadyne in our Solera has been acting all kinds of wonky. The dealer will replace it when the rv goes in next month for some other minor service work, but they need to serial #. It's not in their paperwork, or mine. And it's the only manual that is missing from the ginormous stack that I have. I've tried to make the unit 'tell' me, but it won't. Stubborn!!

How can I make it give it up? It seems loose in the dash, but I don't really want to try prying it out.

Thanks!

On the back of the unit you'll find the answers you seek.

It is on the underside of the radio. You have to take the radio out of the dash to be able to see the serial number sticker. In a solera, the radio doesn't just pull out of the dash, you actually have to take the front panel off and then remove torxs screws to get the radio housing loose. The radio is secured to the plastic housing...please don't spend hours scratching your head wondering why the radio won't come loose with the U-shaped removal tools. your other option would be to pm me the vin or serial number of your coach, and I can tell you the serial number of the radio that was installed in your Solera. I won't be able to get that info until monday now, because the person I need to contact has gone home for the day.

Hmm...I don't think ours has the front panel, unless you mean the front of the radio itself. It's very loose in the dash

Not sure if you can tell by the photo. And ours didn't come with tools or a manual. It almost seems like it's been swapped out before.

I will pm you the vin. No rush. I really appreciate it! We love our Solera

The front panel I mentioned is the wood grain center piece. If you pry bottom right corner and pull that piece pops off and you can get to the radio.
