mattress

We have a new 24S and the mattress is by far the worst thing in the motorhome. We have put a foam topper on it and it is still horrible as my wife wakes up with her back hurting so bad she cannot walk.

Would anyone know where to purchase a quality mattress to fit this odd size bed?

Again our thanks for your input.

There was a previous posting on the subject in the Solera portion of this forum. Have to agree the mattress is the worst thing on the 24S. And that odd shape? I think some have just got a regular mattress and work around it. Good Luck.

On our 2012 "S" I believe the mattress is basically a full (or double bed) size with a corner rounded. For us a 4" thick memory foam topper works. If I wanted to replace the mattress I would buy a memory foam double bed and trim the corner with a butcher knife...

I agree. Search online, you can buy a foam mattress in the thickness and density you desire. Prices vary, so shop around. Use the existing mattress cover and trim the corner to fit.

Wal Mart had some really good prices on memory foam mattresses. Look it up on line. Some were a full 8" or more thick.

mattress

Bought a 4 in at Wal-Mart Mart and will see how it works tonight. Sure a lot of work changing everything. Really surprised they would use such a low quality mattress.
After all of our years fultiming and the last two part timing this is the first time my wife has said maybe it is time to give up RVing.

We too have issues with the mattress in our 2013 24S. I've been looking around and found this place. www.finewebstores.com Once on the site put in a search for motorhome mattress. Apparently you can have your mattress custom made but are more expensive than the BB&B, WalMart, Costco, etc...options. We have not pulled the trigger on a new mattress as my wife says the OEM mattress is not too bad. We are going on a month or two trip this summer...we shall see then. Good luck
