We got 12-14 on our 24S last summer not towing anything. This year we're towing a small car with dolly so we'll see what happens.

How often do most of you stop to fill up? Can you get 400 miles out a tank?

With a 26 gal fuel tank, assuming 15mpg, you'd only get 390 miles. Some may get better mileage, but I'd still not push it much past 350miles. Never know where the next Diesel fuel stop is! Haven't taken a long trip yet, but I plan on a fillup at around 300 miles

Like wise on the 200 miles I've gone up to 250 and am still reading about a 1/3 tank.

Your wife is a smart woman. That is a good distance to stop and get up to move around and reestablish circulation. Thank her as she is looking out for your health as well.

Are there auxiliary tanks available for the Sprinter chassis?
