Need info on air-flexx extensions

Can someone tell me where to buy, and which model/length for both inner and outer wheels?

Read through hundreds of posts, and can't seem to find the specifics.

I have the stainless braided extensions on stainless wheels. I currently have a slow leak on the left inner, and I intend to replace the rubber valve stems with metal and add the air-flexx extensions, as per the loooong thread...

Thanks,
tommyb

Need info on air-flexx extensions

I'm interested in this as well.

I have a Monday a.m. appointment with MB dealer for warranty work on the A/C Recirculate button (it won't stay engaged for very long).

As part of that dealer appt. I'm planning talk with them on about the tire extensions. I plan to talk briefly tire blowout issues.

I have a new 2015 Solera, just purchased this month (July). Would the air-flexx extensions come with this unit, or do I need to get them?

Thanks.

You might want to go ahead and give them a call. Speak to Bill Falkenborg
Phone is 800-300-2674
Bill has apparently sold Metal stem sets for several Sprinter Motorhomes. He knew exactly what I was talking about when I called. I got this referral from another post on the forum.

Just a Quick Note, I had Stainless Steel "Extenders" installed on my tires for my first trip in my 2013 Solera 24S to hopefully alleviate any tire problems two months ago. Anyway, I had nothing but problems with the “Airless Extenders” from Orlando-Tucson-Albuquerque-Dallas-Canyon Lake-Orlando. The main problem was the extenders were vibrating off the rubber tire stems in the wheel well and leaking pressure. I ended up loosing an inner tire enroute. They were not one piece tied into the 16" steel tire wheel well. Now they are and I would highly recommend them. You can also install a tire pressure monitor with these at a later date if it meets your needs. Just some "Food for Thought." Good Luck and Happy Travels.

Let us know about the A/C recirculate button. Ours does the same thing. I figured it was a MB Sprinter thing having something to do with not overtaxing the A/C unit.

My AC has always done this. Just figure it was a safety feature because it's an rv.

I did a search for Air Flex on the web and found their main web page which then showed their dealers around the U.S. that carried them also some info on sizing and direct ordering. Air Flex is out of Germany.

Mikegjax posted how to find them at Myers tire supply, but there are multiple sizes on the website. They have two lengths for inside duallys, and don't mention outside, which have an extension on my solera, as well. Has anyone actually bought Air-Flexx and which sizes did they purchase? Did you think you got the lengths right?

Whick Air Flexx tire extensions are right for Solera?

MikeGJax:

Which extensions did you order for your Solera? This looks like the correct webpage.

I'm looking at calling Myers tires and asking them about the sizing. The web page is just too hard to understand. Made try calling them late and will let you all know what I find out.
