New dealer in town

Just found out that the local Camping world is now an authorized Forest River dealer. Hopefully this is a good thing if any warranty work needs to be done as my other dealer was 135 miles away. So far however I haven't needed the service.

Is that all Camping World dealers or just the one in your area?

BC is there a list of authorized service centers for Solera? We too have a CW with and attached dealership close by.

Unfortunately not. Your best bet is just to use the Forest River dealer locator. That will list current service dealers for your product.

I became suspicious when I saw a new Solera for sale at our CW. I went home and check the dealer locator on the FR web site and sure enough there it was.

Just looking at other options. We purchased out of state when our local dealer couldn't get even close in price with the out of state dealer. The local dealer told me not to bother bringing it in for service if we bought elsewhere. That's all it took for me to never purchase a MH from them. I think there rational is very short sighted. For instance, if I bought elsewhere or moved into a new area I might need service locally. The local dealer would have a great opportunity to take good care if me so that I would want to make my next purchase or trade with them.

I also had the same problem with Forest River Dealer McGeorge RV in Va. and they did not even carry the Solera. Because I did not buy from them.

My local dealer wants a $150 processing fee to do warranty on my Solara because I didn't buy it there. They don't sell Solara.

I don't see how Forest River can allow this to happen.
I don't get that with my Ford!

Dealers are independent entities - they can do what they want and get away with. FR can't do much about it. Best try another shop - maybe independent shop that works with them.

I would just shy away from that dealer.

I do most of my own work on my vehicle learn a while back that is sometime better. If they won't do warranty work then they won't get my business in the future. Too bad so sad. Besides this is my third season with my solera and it's been great. Only minor problems.

Amen to that. I have a 24M and needed the Murphy Bed system redone under warrenty. lucky for me I found Safford RV and they did a great job. I too judge people on their actions.

Some businesses just don't understand that giving you $10 today could get them $100 tomorrow.
