Thanks HomeOnWheels. I'm aware they swivel. At 5'11" the 2400S/R cab seats are too low for me when facing the coach, sounds like the 2400W is the same. I want them to be the same height as the dinette like a few others are (Prism Profile is one). The booster would fix that though.

I am also unclear on the external paint/decal options. I don't want to pay for full body paint but I also don't want white. What are the no-cost color options for the MBS line?

There are none. We have opted NOT to do colored glass and decals for several reasons.

1. it appears that the color glass can fade at different rates than other components. Even though it is colored glass, mfg's still need to paint some of the trim, some of the doors and covers, etc. So you have some paint, some colored plastic, some tinted fiberglass and even if they get them to match (big if) from the start. No guaranty they do 2-3 years down the road.

2. It is not "no-cost" the colored glass options offered by some mfg's still have a price. It is not free. it's either offered as an option or it is rolled into the base price of the unit if the color is standard. In doing the cost comparison, it adds up to about half of what full body paint costs. At the price point we are dealing with, that adds no more than $10 to the monthly payment. hardly worth the savings.

3. It still leaves the decals. One of the main reasons to go full body paint is to eliminate the decals. So you want the full body paint look...but you will no longer have that look after 5 years.

My suggestion is if you want that look. Then get a really good deal on a painted unit. Pick up a 14 or a 15 after the 16's come out.

The paint option is worth every penny
Ours is 2 1/2 years old and still looks new. In fact fellow campers think we just bought it. I waxed it like once and it lives uncovered in the San Diego sun (like 80 today)
My advice, buy a painted one

I wasn't aware of the colored glass issue. I thought the whole point of it was to provide a good, more affordable option.

No doubt the full paint is worth it, just trying to balance it all out. For as much as these cost, it makes sense to add a little more to get what we really want.

Colored glass started on trailers as a way to give you a full body paint look at a lower cost. Paint on a trailer is a much higher percentage of cost. When you have NO paint option...colored glass is something.

However that then started finding its way into the motorized side. 1 to save time. 2. to give you the "perception" of paint with a lower cost. It has not been without its pitfalls.

As always, pros and cons to everything. You just have to figure out what's best for you.
