I looked at those Stabi-Lites to be used as stabilizers for my 24S as they should be significantly lighter than the hydraulic type.
I couldn't find a spot where I thought I could get them to fit.

Weight was actually comparable. Engineering tells me they would go in front of the rear wheels on the frame.

Will the new floor plan be on all Solera/Forester/Sunseeker models?
I heard there won't be 2016 Solera, to be replaced by Sunseeker, is it true? I personally like the name Solera a lot, hate to see it go.

1. Sunseeker MBS
2. Forester MBS
I'm not sure if engineering submitted it as a Solera. We have not determined a time frame for Solera yet. We also like the Solera name...but unfortunately it did not quite work with the simplification of our brand lineup.

Well ... all us Solera owners will soon have instant classics. I'm sure that collectors world wide will be bidding up the prices on used Soleras in an effort to own a bit of the magic - just like they bid up collector cars and coins.
I await an offer I can't refuse!

I think Forester should be renamed Solera. Then you would have the Solera and Sunseeker lines!

In business world, brand recognition is everything. With a growing and largely satisfied customer base, Solera is becoming very popular. It's crazy to discontinue the brand in my opinion.

I agree.
Sunseeker is our most recognized brand name, Forester is our 2nd most recognized brand name, Solera is 3rd.
Also, having worked retail shows for 10 years (and since the inception of Solera), people notice the Mercedes emblem long before they figure out what our brand is.
When we first built the Solera, it rolled down the line as a Sunseeker. The plan was to have two versions. There was some shortsightedness and it got switched to a single line. That line was picked up by Sunseeker and Forester dealers in various markets. If it was ONLY picked up by Sunseeker dealers we would have just created a 2nd name and called it a day. With the separation of our Sunseeker and Forester lines, we needed the Sprinter product to have those same separations. No one likes change...but we are looking at the 5 year plan and as much as it pains me, this is the best plan in the long haul.

I'll confess that I'd never heard of ForestRiver and especially Sunseeker when I went to the dealer here in Boise to see about possibilities for moving on from my 2006 GulfStream Mini ( 5 cyl Sprinter Diesel badged Freightliner ) ( didn't even bring it with me )
Told them to show me Class C with Mercedes ( the only brand I've bought for myself since 1972, though I've let my Daughters chose what they wanted. I normally keep my vehicles for about a decade, the 1970 S sedan lasted for 17 years before an idiot kid in a big wheel P/U ran over the hood, a 190D sedan nearly that long before trading up )
Anyway, after trying to show me all kind of other Class C's and even talking about A's they finally showed me the only new Class C, a 24S. We looked it over for a couple of hours, had a bit of misgivings about the extra width re handling and also the unnecessary? stabilizers?, told them about the general condition of my old unit, got a reasonable offer sight unseen, put down $10K, told them to have it ready in a couple of days.
Anyway, to get back to naming, barring your marketing needs, I think Solera fits well with non-US Mercedes chassis. Sunseeker seems too plebeian, Forester more industrial, neither well suited to a Mercedes vehicle.
Like I've said before, I'm really enjoying the 24S.
---------
just got a bright idea - before getting back on the road again next year I think I'll get a Mercedes star and Turbodiesel & 3.0 D badges to add to the rear

Regardless of what we call it. If we get the floor plan right, the features right and the price right, it will sell. (Brand new dealer in southern California sold 20 Forester MBS's before they could blink)

May I add 'quality is right'! I'm here a lot rather than on Siesta/Citation forum solely because of the quality and, therefore, (more) happy customers. Keep it up Brian!

Yes... I was reading the post on my phone as I was walking in the building and that is what was sitting out front. Figured I'd snap a shot because from afar it just looks good (IMHO) regardless of name.

I'm with you. We are pretty happy with our new Forester MBS, and our dealer (Alliance) has been super so far setting us up for the few warranty issues.
Glad to hear about the new dealership in So. Calif., Brian! Love the feedback.
