New to forum — question about Solera mattress replacements

Solera owner for 3 years but first time on the forum. Our rear bed mattress has split open. Does anyone know how to order replacements for the mattress with covers in a tougher fabric? It is the version that has 2 triangles that lay over each other and split apart when the rear slide is closed. The piece attached to the platform split but the other (free moving side) is fine.

You can do a topic search in this forum for "mattress" and likely find some info relating to your question. You might also want to ask your question in the newer "Sprinter chassis based" forum - Mercedes Benz Sprinter Chassis - Forest River Forums
, since a large part of the traffic has migrated from this forum to that one.

If you are happy with the comfort of the existing mattress, you might want to check an upholstery shops' price for recovering the old one in whatever weight material you think is best. I'm sure you can get a more durable cover crafted than what comes on them from the factory.

We have a 2011 Solera with the corner bed and the mattress was complete junk. I purchased a full memory foam mattress and cut the corner myself using an electric knife; a technique I found online. Was a bit more difficult than I expected but its a thousand times more comfortable than the original.

Now there are dozens of companies that sell memory foam mattresses and will cut to spec. that is what I would do now if I needed one.
