Newbie question - 24R Ignition protection switch

I am reading through books and info but can't find what the switch below is fo and when you have it on and when you have it off (appears to be the only 2 choices). Please advise. On the walk through he quickly mentioned it but not in detail and we can't remember what it does and how to use it.

That's the 12v power from the house batteries to the house 12 v system. Turn it off when camper in storage to reduce/ prevent house batteries from going dead .

With the switch off you battery can still go dead through small parasite draws that are always on.

X2

I added a disconnect on each battery for long term storage.

So when do you turn this to the off position? When the RV will not be used for a week or a month?

I can't imagine a time that we will not use the RV at least once a month.

Turn to off when you put your camper away after every trip unless you plan to store it plugged in.
