No sound in dash speakers after replacing in-dash Jensen

I know there are several threads on NAV system removal, but I couldn't find the answer to my problem.

I'm replacing the Jensen with a Pioneer unit and have connected the speaker wires (green, white, purple, grey) to the new unit and, while I get sound to the "5.1" speakers in the living area (and the subwoofer works) the dash speakers are silent. Since I am only using one set of wires, I know it's not a setting in the Pioneer unit. There doesn't seem to be another set of wires for the front speaks and I had assumed that the crimped wires served all the speakers (front and back). For those of you who have replaced your dash units, any help? It's a 2015 Sprinter that had the Jensen VM9762BT.

There is one other harness that I assumed was unused, it is in the second attached photo. The other photo shows the maze of crimped speaker wires that goes to the living area speakers.

I've installed almost all of my car stereos over the years so I'm not overwhelmed or anything but I am (foolishly?) doing this while on the road.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Safe travels!

Thought of that, but it's set dead center. If I go all the way to "front" the living area speakers still work and if I go all the way to "back" there is no sound...
Thanks for the input.

No experience with the Jensen unit. I did, however, successfully replace the Magnadyne in our 2012 Solera with an aftermarket unit. A few years ago. My memory is that the "cluged" wires in your first photo only feed the house speakers. The dash speakers are, I believe, Mercedes wired to a connector - likely the connector in your second picture. As I remember, the Magnadyne had a connector that plugged into that connector - which, I think, I re-used and spliced to the appropriate wires from my new dash unit. Again, as I remember, I used the Magnadyne installation instructions to identify which wires went to the connector by color code, and matched by function from my new unit.
Good luck!
Jim
