Are there design criteria that determine these choices. It is a potentially big safely problem.

As previously mentioned, the convex mirrors can be adjusted to remove blind spots.

As for the width, we are the exact width as mandated by Mercedes. We can certainly be narrower....but no wider based on Mercedes specs.
