Power step

How can I prevent the step from deploying such as when parked near a curb that prevents correct deployment.

Hook an old fashioned curb feeler to a micro switch that shuts off the power when it hits a curb?
Seriously tho, is there not a shut off switch inside that can be operated when you know you are that close to a curb or object? If not, it should not be much of a problem to install one.

Great question, but missing a lot of information so we can help you. What camper/motor home do you have? What year model? Since you posted in "electrical" this forum gets the general electric questions. You have a specific question, about a specific motor home I assume. You can go to the top of the page here, Right under the main banner. top left, find the tab that says "forums". Scroll down through that and see if your brand is listed.

Also on the long green line across the top of the page, you will find a search tab. (under the google search tab). You can use that to search for power steps, as there are several post on here regarding the power steps. Your question may have been answered.

Please take no offense, just trying to point you to the quickest answer.

There is a small toggle switch in the step well area that turns off the power step. There are actually (2). One is for the porch light, the other is for the power step.

My mistake. Missed the Solera in the original post. Also moved to Solera forum, although you may have received the correct answer.
