Propane duration on generator

Just got our 2015 Solera 24W and have had it out for two outings now. Not so sure about this propane generator that comes standard. How long does a full tank of propane last if the generator is running the entire time? I could not find this answer doing a search on this forum so here is my question. I need to know because I may have to run the generator and the AC due to extreme heat on these weekend outings and there is no sleep when the temp is 85 at 11pm!! Has anyone connected an auxiliary LP tank? If so, how does the connection work from the factory tank to the aux tank. I may bring one along if the factory tank is insufficient to run the AC for several days on end.
Thanks in advance.

Believe generator is rated at .6 gallons per hour at 1/2 power output. Internal tank on our 2012 is 9.8 gallons, as I understand. Believe "Extend-a-Stay" kit (Amazon, Camping World) can be used to connect an external (e.g. BBQ or similar) tank to augment the internal tank capacity.
Obviously, if the AC is cycling and generator is only supplying the AC, usage would be lower.

That's because there is no "stock" amount of consumption between one person to the next. The more electricity you are using and the more appliances you have burning propane, the quicker you will burn through your tank.

More information is needed. Brand and size of generator? What other appliances are you running on propane in a typical day and for what duration?

Believe Solera MHs use Onan QG 3600 watt LP generator unless the buyer gets the optional diesel generator (Onan 3200 watt, I think).

Yes, I have the Onan QG3600 watt LP Generator.
Thanks so much for the info on this issue. If my math is correct, from the numbers that JLeising gave above, the gen would only run for 18 hours or so on one tank of LP. Thats just not going to work. I will have to find a way to get more time out of the generator, maybe adding another tank. When the temps are around 90 degrees when we go to bed, we have to have AC to sleep.

If you have room in one of your storage compartments I'd buy more tanks of propane. Get the biggest tanks that will fit in there. How many. A/C units do you have?

This is a small coach, 24 feet with a big slide out. I have one AC unit on the roof. I think the only solution is to get another LP tank, like on trailers, and keep it in storage until its needed. I have to check into how to attach it to the right LP hoses to use in the MOHO.

Propane duration on generator

Another option is using 2 portable honda 2000 inverter generators wired together. I believe the Honda 2000 companion has a 30amp circuit built into the unit. May not be viable due to cost/weight compared to bringing extra propane with a "extend a stay" set-up.

Additionally, I believe a retrofit kit to a larger 20 gal. propane tank IPO 10 gal. stock tank is in the works at FR.

generator on propane

And don't forget your fridge; runs on propane all time.
You are not allowed to put propane tank in a close environnement. Outside only.
We have a problem....

Also, the tank can only be filled to 80% capacity. Double check how many gallons you actually have to work with, not the full rated capacity.
