It depends on which brand and type of RV you have. Give us a clue. Most are usually 20 or 30 pound tanks.

Propane tanks are usually sized by pounds not gallons.

Isn't it 4.7 gallons for a "20#" tank?

Sorry this was so confusing. I have a 2013 Solera, and posted this on the Solera forum. It has a fixed tank, It is not in pounds since you get it refilled at a gallon dispensing pump.

it is a 12.2 gallon tank that at 80 percent filled is 9.8 gallons net. Brian Clemens has a post on this either in the sunseeker or this forum

My 2012 Solera "S" tank holds 9.8 gallons (actual propane capacity). Tank actual size is somewhat larger.

Propane tank size

My fixed propane tank is 20 gallons. Not sure of how many pounds that is.

Yes, be careful because some MFG's list WC (water weight). Why? I have no idea, since you're never carrying water in that tank. The only number that matters is 80% of water weight capacity. Which on the Solera, as stated is 9.8 gallons. (or multiply that by 4.2 to get lbs).
