Protect against fuel varnishing?

My binder of product information comes with a sheet by Cummins, stating that if it doesn't refuel the gas tank every month, it will have the varnishing problem. I assume this does not apply to the generator that uses LP? Can someone comment on it please? Thanks.

LP when entering the carborator is a gas. There is no float bowl, because the fuel is delivered in a gaseous state, therefore, the varnishing effect you speak of is not an issue.

Thanks! What about the diesel engine? If I don't drive it enough to replenish a whole tank of diesel monthly, would varnishing be a potential issue?

With diesel you have to worry about algae.
Power service has a product called bio kleen

I was looking at PRI-D Diesel Treatment to keep the fungal growth in my Solera tank in check. Are their any other recommendations? I keep my Solera in storage about five months out of the year and I do not want or need any fungal problems with the fuel tank, filter or injectors, etc. Appreciate any comments-Thanks.

No varnish in Diesel, that's a byproduct of evaporating gasoline. Diesel grows bugs, a offshoot of bacteria. Biobar is another popular maintainer of clean fuel. Been around Diesels long time, never heard of monthly treatment though?

There is no "living" organisms like algae taking up residency in your fuel tank. Maybe that word in the diesel fuel lexicon, means something else, but not a living organism for sure.
