Question please

We just finished our 150 mile trek to New Orleans (2nd trip) and when we got here there is a smell of burning plastic and the front sides above the head lights is very hot. Is this just breaking in stuff or is this something to be very concerned over. We have had the Solera for two weeks now and this was only it's second trip. Thanks for any insights.

Also there was a clicking sound when we turned the engine off for about 10 minutes after, then quit.

I would guess the clicking noise your describing if from the exhaust manifolds or catalytic converters cooling off. That sound goes away with age on some vehicles and on others it stays forever. As far as the burning smell, I would have that checked out. IMO its to hard to diagnose that problem on here and I sure wouldn't want your unit to burn up!
