Recommended Options for a Sunseeker 2400R?

What options would those who have one recommend for someone ordering one?

We just went down the list. Did not get the super fancy exterior, the windows suck. Hardly open at all.

We are waiting for our Solera 24R. We ordered the stabilizer jacks, entertainment center, fantastic fan, maple cabinets, backup camera, and the sofa. Hope to see it by the 14th!

the windows suck
They really don't... they provide plenty of airflow and the best thing is you can leave them open when its raining! And it is easy to make them open wider:

Thanks

In his post the link is "Rattling-Windows". Click on it in his post and a new window should open.

There is an option here to select text and insert link. When this option is used the link will unlined in with teal color font.

With the Fantastic fan the windows are perfect. I like being able to have them open in the rain.

Why is the 15k AC/heat pump a good option? We are located in Colorado and thought the standard AC unit is fine???

I see you chose the sofa option over the dinnette? Can you share your thoughts on this?

The 15,000 BTU supplies better cooling than the 13,500 and the heat pump portion does not use your propane. The heat pump will supply sufficient heat until you get down to the 30's. After that you can run the furnace if needed. BTW these are just my opinions and what I prefer.

If you plan on using your RV only in Colorado then the AC may be best for you.

May I ask a few more questions: What options did you go with? i.e. Diesel vs propane generator? dinette vs sofa? stabilizer jacks? Thanks, and as you can see this will be my ver first RV and not sure why I waited till 65???

I waited until 67 for my first.
The diesel gen. was not an option when I bought mine. If you are going to be doing a lot of boon docking diesel might be a better choice as it gets its fuel from the chassis fuel tank. I do very little and have not used my generator hardly at all. The LP gen is relatively quiet, but I don't know about the diesel.

I opted for the Fantastic fan in the dining area and later added remote control to it. The fan is a big plus.

The swivel cab seats are another. The passenger side gets used most.

Backup camera for sure.

5.1 sound system.

We have the dinette because DW likes to sit there and look out the side window. I think I would have preferred reclines, but keep in mind you sacrifice a lot of storage space with sofa or recliner.

I also have the Magnadyne radio with Nav. which I really like, contrary to many on this forum.

The stabilizers are also a must for me. DW is very sensitive to motion when parked and the stabilizers do help. They do hang down a bit and require caution when entering steep driveways or dips. I approach diagonally and then they don't drag.

Arctic pack to keep waste tanks from freezing.

Second TV in the rear bedroom. I have found that I can relax on the bed and watch the main TV that is mounted above the cab.

Gas oven, but wish we had opted for the convection oven and used the oven space for drawers.

Hope this give you some ideas. We all have different thoughts on things, so pick what is best for you.

Where are you going to add the ladder? Is there enough room between the edge of the unit and the rear slide? (Or maybe it isn't a 24R)

It's a 2251 and I'm going to have the ladder put on the rear. I called the factory to make sure the blocks were in place.
