refrigerator performance

Hi,
Just purchased a 2013 Solera and am checking the appliances.

How long a time is normal for the refrigerator to cool down? Our air temperature was in the 80's. I turned the refrigerator on using the LP. The freezer cooled down pretty quickly but it took nearly 4 hours for the refrigerator compartment to get to 41 degrees F.

Any thoughts? Thanks, Steve

This is normal, that is why most pre-cool the refrigerator 24 hours before they plan on using it. Attached is an excellant explanation of how they work

Perfectly normal, remember it an absorbtion type, not compresser style which requires bout 5X or more energy.

Also. It's much better to try and have all items cold before putting them in camper frig.
