Reversing faucet direction

On my 2016 MBS the H control on the shower and C control on the sink are reversed so you turn them clockwise to turn on. On a previous RV I owned I corrected this by removing the internal valve and turning it 180 degrees. I turned the valve on this faucet 180 and it didn't change anything. I remember the older style valve had stops on the top and this one doesn't.

I can't find any posts on this new style of valve. The style shown in the link you provided is for an different version (shoulders on valve body)that I know how to fix.

Instead of the term shoulders I should have said valve stops. Mine do not have the valve stops as shown in the link.

Can you post a picture of them with the handles removed?

Did you actually pull the cartridge out and look on the bottom for the small steel tab? I know that I initially tried just turning the cartridge and it didn't help. I had to actually take the metal tab off of the bottom of the cartridge and turn it 90 degrees and then the handle rotated the correct way. Well, the handle would rotate the right way *and* the water would come on/off appropriately.

Yeah, take a picture with the handles off and also a picture of the cartridge.

I see the small steel tab. Turn 90 or 180 degrees?

So your saying just reverse the metal tab? I see there is a teardrop shape to the metal tab.

You're supposed to rotate the plate 90deg, but I don't think you can do that on that cartridge.
Can you take a picture of the inside of the faucet with the cartridge removed?

With the tabs it will only rotate 180 so it looks like this new style can not be reversed. No brand name on the faucets. Forest River must have got a good deal on these. Since the shower faucet is upside down it appears that every valve on the right side of these faucets is wrong. Not a big deal but kind of annoying.

It IS annoying. I was going to replace the whole unit with a residential one,but FR must have installed them before the shower unit was installed because the only way to get at the back side would be to cut an acess panel on the other side.

Did you try it after rotating 180? It's definitely different than mine but it doesn't make sense that it can't be switched and it would drive me crazy to have it backwards. I thought I could live with mine when I first noticed it but I couldn't stand it.

Maybe even try swapping left for right. There *has* to be a way...

My shower has an access plate but I can't get myself to change out a part on a 2016 model. Hopefully someone from FR is aware of this issue and will change their faucet vendor.

Tried rotating 180 and the flow changed some due to the teardrop design of the metal plate but in the clockwise position it still had a small stream of water coming out.

I agree that the backwards rotation is annoying. This is what I did. I purchased the oxygenetics head, to that, I attached a quarter turn shut off immediately below that unit. In that set up, it sits in the existing holder. Then I dialed in the right hot cold mix, pulled the handles off, by removal of the center screws, and made a legible mark with a sharpie at each hot and cold handle at the top points of each handle, where you can easily view through the handle, while standing in the shower, on both the hot and cold, establishing your desired setting. That way, I have effectively dialed in a temperature that is acceptable, while in the shower (you may tweek from there). Understand that the quarter turn shut off, acts as a total flow control from the shower holder position for the times "navy showers" are in order. In effect, sending mixed temperature water as directed. The only annoying remaining issue is closing the valves (hot and cold) after the shower. In effect, the aggravation factor has been greatly reduced. Just sayin'

Wrong Direction

Hi
I have the same problem you are describing. My cold water facet valve rotates in the wrong direction. Turning in 180 degrees has no effect. It is labeled 3134L no manufacturer but I believe the L tells me it is made for the left side of the sink. Were you able to find out who makes the valve so I can replace it with a R?
Thanks
