RV Insurance

I will be picking up my used RV in Florida next Wed (27th) and need insurance active to drive off the lot. The dealership (DaytonaRVs) deals a lot with a company called Veritas Insurance, which sells Safeco Insurance. They are about 1/3 cheaper than my own insurance company, which I trust. Has anyone had any experience with Veritas Insurance?

Thanks, Karen

re: RV insurance

After we purchased our 2015 Solera 2400R, I started researching RV insurance. We currently insure our 2007 Toy Hauler through Progressive, but Good Sams quoted coverage for the new RV as significantly cheaper! Since Good Sams specializes in RVs, I feel they will be affiliated with more RV-friendly repair shops. Good luck and Happy RVing!

I stuck with AAA, which I have on my cars and house, and got the same price that Good Sam quoted. But I think it varies based on geography and a lot of other factors. It's a good idea to shop around.

I have had Country Insurance for years, so I just added it to that plan. Only $24.00 per month.

I am surprised they won't let you leave the lot without it. All I had to do is sign a form agreeing I would have insurance on it within 30 days. And, as long as it's attached to my pickup, it's insured through my pickup insurance. So I wasn't worried about leaving without insurance.
