rvdirect.com Nerves

Just about ready to "pull the trigger" on a new Solera with rvdirect.com.

It seems too easy and too good to be true!! Can any of you with insight on dealings with rvdirect share your experiences please? They said 8-10 weeks on delivery time, what was your wait?

Thanks

I had about a 12 week wait, 2 of those weeks were waiting for the MH to be delivered to the dealer ship then delivered to me as I went with the home delivery.

We ordered a Sunseeker 2650S from RVdirect on 22 March. We had been getting frequent price quotes from them for about 6 months while we were trying to figure out what we wanted (Class A, B, & C – and gas or diesel options too). We visited local dealers throughout NYS and could not get a price within $5,000 on various makes and models (primarily Thor and FR). The ordering process was simple. We’ve been getting frequent mail and E-mail updates on the process. The National Sales Office (i.e. Internet) is in Albany. But we’re picking it up at their Buffalo office as it saves $400. Additionally, since we live around Syracuse NY, why have a brand new motorhome driven from Indiana through Buffalo (western NYS) and through Syracuse (middle NYS) out to Albany (eastern NYS), only for us to drive it back to Syracuse (extra 7-8 hours driving on a brand new motorhome). The estimated pickup date is late May/early June – and RVdirect has so far been very, very impressive.

Right after closing the deal with RVdirect on our MH we received an information package, the letter advise to be patient which is hard as they say because most buyers want their product (yesterday). But it takes time to build these units and they are worth the wait. RVdirect sales personnel will keep in touch with you also any time you need a question answered.

We ordered our 24R in mid December 2012 from RVDirect. It was priced about $10,000 less than the very best deal we could get in California. So a no brainer on ordering. Plus we got the options we wanted. Nice people that are very prompt on answering their emails. They said it would take 8 to 10 weeks. It was ready in 8 to be picked up in Des Moines. Another plus, they will find competitive loan rates.

I would recommend them.

RV Direct

We are in the same situation, getting ready to order but anxious about such a large $$ order. Thanks for your remarks!

rv direct nerves

We are also looking at RV Direct. Also found a dealer in Grand Rapids who sells lots of the Solera units and was very willing to match the price or go a little better. Worth checking out. Terrytown RV - Grand Rapids, MI - think the internet man's name is Bob Wells

Congrats. Are you picking it up or getting it delivered? If picking up, from which office?

We are picking it up at the Orlando location. Going to make it our summer vacation traveling back to Louisiana.

It'll be the longest 8-10 weeks of your life! We only waited 3 weeks... Seemed like forever!

I was able to get my local dealer to match RV direct pricing and I went home with my new RV same day.

We flew to RV Direct in Orlando also, and took a weeks vacation getting back to Oklahoma City. Stopped at Panama City for a few days and then in east Texas a day. Very good trip getting familiar with the Solera. we didn't order ours, we just found it on the internet the day it arrived on there lot. Had everything we wanted, was a good experience for us!

Yep! No problem from RV Direct. Ordered our Windjammer and it took 8 weeks. No one here in GA would touch the price. They delivered it to our door and the gentleman who delivered it did a complete walkthrough for about an hour and a half. First class people and service.
