Sad time

Sorry to have to do it but I had to put the cover over the Solera today for the Winter. Did take it out for a drive before hand, had the LP tank filled in case I need the generator during the cold months ahead. Come on Spring.

I agree with Chill. Heading to Texas late next week for both work and pleasure - nice to do client visits in Houston and take your own bed and of course, the dogs!

Sad for us also, left 24° temp yesterday morning, arrived Daytona and it was only 72°, we were expecting 76°+. We so wanted to try the AC.

It is apparent to me that Chill, DebbieMH, and Old Coot are intent on making me, HKreck, and Toolman jealous. Well, I want you to know you have succeeded!

Yes, "STOP THE TORTURE"

Another disappointment, high only to get to 72° today in Daytona, only 73° in Orlando tomorrow, so we have to wait until Wed to get our 76°.

I guess one consolation is the sun is shining, so we'll just suffer with the temps. for a couple more days.

OMG! I feel soooooooo sorry for you!
In the meantime, wearing a columbia ski coat with the liner and hoping the dusting of snow doesn't stick around.

-30 this AM

but its beautiful outside! Just got back from a snow machine ride to the ridge…stunning.
This week we are going to Fairbanks to view the start of the ice sculpting competition.
During the summer I am now spending more time gold panning and doing …very well!

We have no traffic signals for over 120 miles and the only traffic while driving to work are caribou and moose standing in the road.

The winters are actually great they are just a little to long thus the reason for our new escape vehicle……...the Solera.

RVCHICK drop by and visit sometime...

Very pretty Toolman But, I still like down here on the Gulf Coast. Can't take the cold anymore. It's 66 degrees right now here in New Orleans. Quite chilly, but sunny and no wind.

OC: Come on back to North Carolina. We camped in 14-degree nights Thanksgivig week in the foothills. Didn't even break a sweat while setting up or breaking camp. We'll be camping all winter up here.

Adding to the Misery of our northern friends...a chilly 53 deg today as I drove to work (2 more years then DONE with THAT daily commute!)

OC should be much warmer than the frozen wastes here in Huntsville AL

Toolman, your place is beautiful. We also have a 2013 24R. We are near Denver, CO in Westminster, we want to visit Alaska with our Solera. Maybe 2015. We are expecting the arctic air here this week. So far our winter has been great. But planning a trip to AZ mid Jan. Have you driven your Solera outside of AK?

Well it was almost 60 degree today in Iowa, but the worst is on the way suppose to be in the 20's and teens by this week end. not as bad as Alaska but I'm sure we'll see some of that before Spring gets here.
