It looks like the door swings away from the awning arm so I think you will be ok. Just remember that the awning can only be angled down a littl bit before that door starts rubbing on the material when opened and closed.

Thanks for the feedback I really wish I could see one of these these installed live so I can get a better handle on how well it'll work. All the videos I have found are not very helpful. I may just wait it out until I get an opportunity to see one for myself b/c I really don't want to pay $500+ for nothing
