On previous RVs, I used a clear elbow at the hose connection point so I could see when the black water tank was clear of TP, etc. I can just barely get one on the connection, but it makes it tough to remove and replace the threaded cover plate in the floor. Any ideas here?

Jim: Install the elbow, then screw the cover plate up from the bottom! At least, that's what I did!
Also, I bought a 15' Rhino hose; comes with end fittings, but I had to trim a foot or so off for it to fit into the compartment. Rhino hose compresses tighter than the standard spiral wound hose. Fit it into the compartment and then you can figure out how much you need to cut off! I store an extension in a separate compartment.
