Sewer connection question

Good evening all. I have a question...anyone else find the sewer connection in the bottom of that small compartment a pain to use? It seems to me that the outlet connection is too close to the floor and to the opening in the floor of the compartment for easy access. Anyone have any suggestions to correct this annoying situation? I'm thinking of either cobbling together an extention to move the connection from inside to under the compartment or if it will fit installing the Sani-Con box mount macerating pump system. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Camco 39582 RV 7" Clear Sewer Hose Adapter | eBay

Would something like this help get it outside and you could place the cap on the end?

Ours is brand new, so I haven't emptied the tanks yet. I'll let you know in a week or so! And welcome
