Slide out

During the walk thur the dealer did not say anything about closing the slide out with out power. Just in case this would happen. I know they has to be a way to do it. Anyone know how?

Underneath the slide out (roof of the storage compartment) there should be a shaft. Put a socket on there and you can ratchet the slide in or out. On some models there is a black ABS cover.

Slide Out

On my Solera, directly above the propane tank is the mechanism for opening/closing the slide by hand. On my unit, there is a 1/2 inch hex head nut (13mm is very close). And, it works..I tried turning it slightly and the slide moved. To sum it up, open the propane tank door and put your tool on the hex head nut and turn in the appropriate direction. My Solera is a 2011.

OTOH, the weather here in middle Georgia is very hot today...nearly 100 degrees. Glad we got a trip planned next week for the N. Georgia mtns.
Happy RV'ing!

Manual slide

On the 2010 to hex head nut to manually move the slide is in the compartment to the right of the propane tank.
