That is a very good question Chill. I'll have to go out and look at my 24S now and see.

Chill according to the manual you can order one from Forest River. So I'd say that there is not one that comes with the unit.:-{

hand crank

on my 2011 Solera 24S on the driver side about midways is a propane tank door. Somewhere almost directly above the tank is a 1/2 inch hex nut that you can turn either way to run the slide in/out. I keep 1/2 inch ratchet and socket just for this purpose.
I don't know if there has been any change in the location of the propane tank since 2011 so you'll just have to try to find the nut....

Believe it is the small center door. I did notice the slide motor there. I'll look when I get back home for the nut.

Thanks

My 2012 S, is right where you said as well. I also thought there was something about disconnecting the power supply to the motor, so not to back feed current when cranking manually. I believe I read to do that on the slide mfg. web site.

On my 2014 24R there is no manual way to close the slide outs, other than
removing a screw that holds the motors, lift the motors from the shafts and then push the unit in by hand. There is a video available on the manufactures web site. Here is a link that might help;

I think I've touched on this before but...

If your slide has (4) Aluminum tracks on the slide out sidewalls, then it is a Lippert IN-Wall slide. it is retracted using the video above.

If your slide has rams below the floor then it is a Lippert below floor slide and it will have a manual retraction shaft coming out of the motor. That shaft will be on the roof of one of the outside compartments or above the propane tank...can't remember exactly.

BC, is there an advantage to one slide out system over the other?
