Not Foreast River, but - Re: Manual slide operation - on my 2012 Solera "S" - If I open the propane compartment door and look above the propane tank and regulator, I can find the slide motor and gear mechanism. There is a hex drive on the back of the motor. Assuming the mechanics are intact, a socket and ratchet can be used to turn the hex drive - this will manually operate the slide. . Note that we Solera owners fall into the "don't have external access" category. I believe the following is the link to the owner's manual for the slide out mechanism in my Solera:

As a note, when my slide failed, it failed mechanically - the motor mount broke off the frame. In that type of condition, the above procedure is of no use.
