I found the "brain" ! But what happens when the slide out is stuck in the open position? Is there a way to manually crank in the side and rear slide in case e.g. electric motor failure??

We just ordered a Solera MS yesterday. Wondering if there is a manual override for a stuck bed?

It would sort of the work the same way as the Lippert slide (same mechanism). You need to disengage the motors to have it operate freely. If the power is off from the slide you could sloooooooowly raise it, but you'll be fighting the gear reduction in the motors.

The most problems with slides that I have found are not with the controller. What I have found with mine and others is that the connectors that were instilled at the factory some have had bad crimps . Itís a time consuming task but if push, pull and shake all of the wires going into the slide controller you will find the problems with the slide sometimes working then not.

You have to do this this when operating the slide in and out.

Thank you. Since we ordered our MS without actually getting to see an actual model I've been a little concerned about a stuck bed. Hopefully we will never have to deal with this issue.
