Solera Emergency Shelter!

We are one of the hundreds of thousands who have been w/out power or heat in CT for 7 days now, due to the extraordinarily harsh and unusual Fall noreaster which brought us over 12" of heavy, wet snow.

Fortunately, we have our Solera. I had already winterized, but yesterday I finally gave in, uncovered it and we're currently sitting inside w/ the furnace on, nice and warm. We'll also cook our meals in here as long as we are in this situation.

I haven't dewinterized the plumbing - yet - but I may tomorrow. Hate to do that all over again, but these 45 degree sponge baths are hard to take!!

Back in 2003 we used our motorhome (at that time a Coachmen 195RK) to live in during a 7 day power outage in Maryland. We've been fortunate in that regard!
