The picture of your Solera on the pad. Was that at Lake Murray? I have camped there but haven't seen anything like that. Looks quite spacious.

Yes Lake Murray, at Buzzards Roost camp grounds , not far from the marina. It's really new and they are very spacious. The water is low at the lake with some boat ramps closed. We were able to launch at the marina with no trouble.
The sites are well spaced with plenty of privacy if you don't want your neighbors right up against you.

We've been to Lake Murray a couple of times now. Only complaint is that they don't take reservations. Texas will reserve a spot but not a specific site, Oklahoma is last in SOL. Twice now we've driven up from Dallas to find the park full, and twice there were maybe less than 10 campers in the entire park. Buzzard's Roost is very nice, new and clean, but a little difficult to navigate a 35' trailer around the trees. We prefer the pull through sites in Elephant Rock, but we'll take what we get in the worst case scenario.
