DEF=Diesel Exhaust Fluid. I believe all Diesel engines in vehicles after 2010 have a reservoir that you add DEF to in order to cut down on emissions.

Stop by Wally World and pick up a box of blue DEF. The injection rate is approximately 3% calculated as follows; Diesel Exhaust Fluid - DEF - DEF Usage Calculator Best way I have found to fill the underhood tank, before the DEF add dash indicator lights up, is to pour slowly listening for the sound change as it gets into the neck of the reservoir. Always be careful to not spill or overfill, as the def has urea in it, and is corrosive.
I say that because, there has been some issues with the MB emmisions and ECM computers talking to each other, due to suspected but not admitted to, programming glitches. Just sayin'

Normally full, but I can't speak for the transport companies that drive them out. I'm guessing they are not filling them and dealers probably don't even think about it.

Man, I was just there picking up my new roof vent cover to replace the one I cracked while washing the roof.
BTW, Walmart beats Camping Worlds price for the "Unbreakable" replacement roof vent covers.

So, walmart sells some replacement parts. I didn't realize they got into the parts business, interesting.

They are not in the parts business perse, but they do carry some items that you can order. Example: Camco RV vent covers.

Honesty I try not to buy my fuel at truck stops whenever possible. Better prices at other locations. Not likely I would stop for only DEF.
Thanks for the info. though!!

DEF cubitainer costs vs...
Wow-
Things are looking up as that works out to around $3.60\gal of DEF from Walmart! Was at a local auto "store" yesterday and noticed that their price
was almost double this for the same item!
I believe most Pilot Flying J's are selling pump DEF now for around $2.80(as per Mar 20\15) so the tradeoff and convenience of adding DEF via the cubitainer method might
now be worth it, esp. before the idiot warnings go off. Throwing a cube into the basement area would be worth the extra weight of around 20 lbs. on a trip to prevent running low on the stuff and facing those computer glitches I've read about!
Thnx for the info here! -PB

X2-I go to GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada as I plan my trip for fuel stops at usually large towns. They have better prices that rural towns. Works the "Best for Me!" "Happy Travels."

Pilot / Flying J sells fuel with "5 to 20 percent biofuel", some other threads pointed out that MB says no more than 5 percent. Be careful.

I am short on space and just looking for a way to save some by not carrying extra. Guess I will know far enough in advance to start looking. 8000 miles is a long ways.
